Bonnie Stevens Public Lecture on Children's Pain

Bridging the gap from research to practice: How we’re changing the way parents and hospitals can prevent and treat children's pain

Join internationally-renowned children's pain researcher Bonnie Stevens for a one-hour lecture on how research is bringing practical changes to the way children’s pain is managed in health care settings and at home.

Bonnie Stevens is a professor at the Faculty of Nursing and the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Toronto. She is also co-director of the Pain Centre at SickKids Hospital and the chair of the Certification Committee for ChildKind International.

Stevens will be introduced by Samina Ali, director of Western Canada’s hub for Solutions for Kids in Pain, or SKIP, a knowledge mobilization network that is working to ensure children receive evidence-based treatments when facing pain.

Children are welcome and child-minding will be available for children ages 6–12.
